Falcon 9 launches with 22 satellites on 20 September 2023 from Florida

After certifying Falcon 9 booster stages for up to 20 flights earlier this year, Space X launched today one booster, serial number 1060, to its 17th flight. This sets a record for reusability of Falcon 9 boosters.

The flight lifted off from Cape Canaveral pad 40 and carried 22 new Starlink satellites to orbit.

This was another batch of new V2 mini Starlink satellites which are – despite “mini” in their name –  larger and have four times the bandwidth of the previous versions. Full-sized V2 satellites will be launched on Space X’s huge Starship rocket when it is available.
