Virgin Galactic does its first commercial space tourism flight

Virgin Galactic is finally gearing up for its space tourism flights with SpaceShip2 spacecraft. 

Galactic 01 spaceflight carried 13 research payloads and three crew members from the Italian Air Force and the National Research Council of Italy.

Galactic 02, the next a commercial spaceflight for private astronauts, is scheduled for 10 August with monthly flights to space planned thereafter.
