Kitsat raises towards the sky
It’s winter solstice today. Six months ago it was the longest day of the year, and that time it was especially long: we did a a stratospheric flight from Lapland during the nightless night.

In whole this year 2020 has been not so special, but we managed to do a fabulous stratospheric flight exactly during the summer solstice above the Polar circle in Finnish Lapland. The main goal was to test our new power board designed for the flights and other heavy duty use, but of course we also had fun when visiting the land of Santa Claus (and zillion mosquitos).

The weather was fabulous and everything went well. Kitsat functioned perfectly and we got very nice photos & videos.

Special thanks to Sodankylä Geophysical Observatory for all the help! We'll do this again!
