Chandrayaan-3 rocket and spacecraft

India's next Moon mission Chandrayaan-3 is set to be launched on 14 July from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

Chandrayaan-3 consist of a lander and a rover similar to Chandrayaan-2. This lunar mission 2019 had also a separate orbiter that acted as a communication relay, but now the propulsion module - delivering the lander and rover configuration to a 100 km orbit around Moon – will be the relay satellite.

The landing will be attempted on 23 August. The planned lifetime of the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover is 14 days,  one lunar day.
